Why It Matters
Delamination Is Water Damage Wearing a Disguise
That bubble or wave in your sidewall isn't a cosmetic defect. RV sidewalls are laminated sandwiches — fiberglass skin bonded to luan or foam bonded to framing. When water gets in, the adhesive bond fails and the layers separate. That's delamination.
The critical part: the bubble is the symptom, not the disease. Water is getting in somewhere — usually a failed seam, window seal, or roof edge — and it's still getting in today. Patching the visible damage without finding the source guarantees you'll be back.

Is delamination always repairable?
Usually, if you catch it before the substructure rots. Small areas can often be injected and re-bonded. Large areas need panel reconstruction. Extensive rot across a whole sidewall sometimes exceeds the coach's value — and if that's where you are, we'll tell you honestly instead of taking your money.
How much does it cost?
Enormously variable — from modest for a small injected repair to major for full panel reconstruction. We can't quote it without seeing it and moisture-mapping the area. That assessment is worth doing either way.
Can I just live with it?
You can, but it won't hold still. Water keeps entering, the damaged area keeps growing, and the repair gets more expensive every season. Delamination is one of the few RV problems that genuinely compounds.
